Perhaps the return of an ancient Kiturm title may convince them to work together. Wolvow thought he was finally getting better at dealing with his personal flaws, but things change when he learns of something no Shadow Elf has ever suspected. Shadow Elves consider their ability to enter the shadows to be their greatest advantage, but what Wolvow learns could shake everything the Shadow Elves know. Aurora and her friends have faced down and overcome many trials and challenges during their journey across Etenrax. All they've accomplished and all they're fighting for may come down to a choice Qylena must make. Has Qylena truly learned friendship and compassion, or will she turn to hate and cruelty?

Recovery in Uoi is slow, especially when Aurora, Kerr, and Thuban are not allowed to know anything of Wolvow's condition. Learning that Qylena calls him a friend takes a weight off Wolvow's mind, but a new one soon takes its place when he learns what the tattoo spanning from Qylena's hand to her chest and back means. Kiturm hate those who wear that mark, but removing it will cripple Qylena for life. Aurora and her friends need the support of the Kiturm if they want to have a chance at finishing this quest, but the cost could be too much. Asking Qylena for help was one thing, but can they ask her to make such a huge sacrifice?
